Lab Assignments
The course includes two kinds of lab assignments: Labs in Cisco´s Ethical Hacker course and Labs given by the instructor.
- Cisco Netacad Labs are optional and are not tracked. These labs are mainly done using the virtual machine provided by Cisco as self-study.
- Labs given by the instructor are conducted in the school's CyberLab environment. These assignments are primarily completed during guided sessions but can also be worked on independently when the classroom is not in use. Labs are optional, but completing them affects the course grade, and progress is tracked.

Theory Exams
The course includes multiple exams. The exams for Cisco’s Ethical Hacker course are completed in the Netacad platform. Cisco's Final Exam is compulsory. Additionally, a theory exam must be completed in TAMK’s Exam system (exam.tamk.fi
) during the course.
Skills Exam
The skills exam is a supervised, on-campus performance test where the student demonstrates practical proficiency in the course topics. The skills exam is optional, but completing it has a significant impact on the course grade (compulsory for grades 3–5).
